Choral Evensong and High Tea

By Editor on October 15, 2013 in Latest News

On Sunday October 20th Upton Pyne Church was privilege to host a choir of 12 with their musical director and organist for a performance of traditional evensong. This has not been sung at our church for many years. The group of singers from Exeter plans to take their performances to rural churches in the local area. The first was held, to much acclaim, at Mamhead church last weekend. The Ret. Rev. Martin Shaw, retired Bishop of Argyll and the Isles, spoke at the service and is also singing in the choir. The service was be followed by a very splendid high tea in the village hall hosted by the PCC.
